SEGA AMUSEMENTS USA, Inc.

SEGA SERVICE DEPARTMENT BRINGS ON THE EXPERTS

John LoBosco, Tetsuo Ono and Katsuhiko Ishiwa Turn the Page in Sega Service

Elk Grove Village, IL – Sega Amusements USA, Inc. (SAU) welcomes Service Technician, John LoBosco, to the Service Department as well as guests Tetsuo Ono and Katsuhiko Ishiwa from Sega Logistics Service, whom are here to help lead the way to a revamped Sega Service Department.

About John LoBosco
John LoBosco joins Sega with 18 years of technician experience. LoBosco’s background in technical service began with Motorola in 1988 where he explored the avenues of microwave radios and the fast-paced environment of cellular phone research and development. He also has an expertise in PC-based medical equipment repair and support through his work with medical technology company, Hollister Inc. However, his likes and knowledge do not end in wireless media or medical advancements. LoBosco explains, “The coin-op hard drives are a lot like working on PCs, plus I always enjoyed fixing my home consoles. I am really enjoying this so far.” With much experience in cutting-edge atmospheres and several technical certifications, Mr. LoBosco will make a great member to the Sega Service Department. He bears the attitude “if something’s wrong, find out and fix it.” Operations Director, Jerry Korbecki, states, “John was the perfect candidate from the get-go. He’s brought with him knowledge that will help teach us a thing or two. John’s a very strong edition to the Service Department. We’re excited.”

In addition to repairing and servicing Sega and former Sammy games, LoBosco will be providing phone tech-support in the near future to help Sega better service their customers. When asked his thoughts on his new role, he said, “I am very excited to be here at Sega. It’s is a good company, and I look forward to being a supporting member of the service department and an asset to our customers.”

Sega Experts Set Up Camp
Following the office move, Sega made some other house-warming additions, but in the form of veteran service experts to help launch a new and improved Sega Service Department in Elk Grove Village. Mr. Tetsuo Ono and Mr. Katsuhiko Ishiwa, or “Doctor Ishiwa” to coworkers, have joined us from Japan and will be calling SAU their home for the next couple months. Much like LoBosco, Mr. Ono and Mr. Ishiwa are highly trained experts, but in the form of servicing coin-operated video games. In Japan, they support Sega products. Sega Amusements USA has already found great value in the support of these gentlemen who have introduced several new and efficient methods to the department. They have also done a wonderful job showing LoBosco the industry’s technologies by teaching him what to look for in different hardware and the keys to defining what is wrong. More importantly, Mr. Ono and Mr. Ishiwa are teaching our staff the reasons for malfunctions, so Sega can better troubleshoot and properly advise its customers in the future.

A Note from the Top
The newly remodeled Service Department of Sega Amusements USA could not have developed at a better time. Sega has a larger, more accessible home base, a new company attitude with the completion of the Sega Sammy merger, and a powerful new outlook for business and service in the future. SAU President Rick Rochetti says, “We have turned the page on many fronts here. But with all of these changes, we had set a priority to keep Sega Service on the front burner and follow through on giving the department a makeover. Without our customers, we are not in business, and we need to do what it takes to better serve their needs.” The service department is a large player within the company and management has complete confidence in the team behind the cause. Rochetti added, “Mr. LoBosco is true expert. I have all the faith in the world that his knowledge will be an asset to the department and company alike. We are very happy to have him on board, along with the commitment and guidance from Mr. Ono and Mr. Ishiwa. There are no two people better for this responsibility than them.”
