Reigning U.S. Open bar table 9-ball champion Dennis Orcullo joins Montreal’s Luc “Machine Gun” Salvas and “California Kim” Davenport in the battle for $15,000 first prize money in Canada’s biggest 9-ball showcase.

Calgary AB – “Having top flight players such as Dennis Orcullo (Quezon City, Philippines), Kim Davenport (Modesto, California), and Luc Salvas (Montreal, PQ) really add to the international flavour of our tournament,” says Dean Fisher SML’s Marketing Director. “These elite 9-ball players will bring out the best in defending SML 9-ball Open Champion Alex Pagulayan (Toronto, Ontario), and 2004 SML Open Champion Johnny Archer (Atlanta Georgia). It is going to be a ‘dog fight’.”

Fisher added that the tournament is attracting a lot of international attention among elite 9-ball players because of the $15,000 prize money and unique atmosphere that comes from playing in Calgary’s Olympic Oval. The 2nd annual $50,000 SML 9-ball Open Championship is limited to 128 players during the five-day competition.
