“Tilt! The Art of Pinball”

The Largest Collection of Original Pinball Art in the History of the Game.

Chicago, IL – Come experience “Tilt! The Art of Pinball” at the Cedarhurst Center for the Arts in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. “Tilt!” is the largest collection of original pinball art in the history of the game.

The show features the artwork of Stern artists John Youssi (MONOPOLY®, NASCAR®); Margaret Hudson (THE SIMPSONS/PINBALL PARTY™, LORD OF THE RINGS™); and Brian Rood (GRAND PRIX, WORLD POKER TOUR™). Also featured are classic pinball artists Greg Freres and Paul Faris. The show will also display a LORD OF THE RINGS™ pinball machine.

Located on a 90-acre site in southern Illinois, Cedarhurst celebrates the arts year-round with exciting visual and performing arts programs for the public. The Cedarhurst Sculpture Park’s outdoor gallery has over 60 large-scale sculptures. The Mitchell Museum also contains contemporary art exhibitions in two galleries, including a Children’s Gallery.

Cedarhurst is located in Mt. Vernon. View directions below. There is an opening reception on May 6 at 6:30pm, located at the Main Gallery of the Mitchell Museum. The Cedarhurst Center for the Arts is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 5 pm, and Sunday, 1pm to 5 pm. “Tilt!” runs from May 6 to July 16, 2006. From Interstate 57, take Exit 95 (Mt. Vernon) and travel east on Highway 15 (Broadway). At 27th Street, turn left (north) and proceed to Richview Road. Turn right (east) on Richview Road. Cedarhurst is located on the north side of Richveiw Road. Turn left at the Main Gate for parking. Cedarhurst is approximately 4.78 miles from Interstate Exit 95.

From Illinois Route 37, turn west on Oakland Avenue, which becomes Richview Road at 12th Street. Cedarhurst is on the north side of Richview Road. Turn right at the Main Gate for parking. Cedarhurst is approximately 0.62 miles from the Oakland Avenue/Route 37 intersection.
