TLC Industries and the American Poolplayers Association Announce Strategic Partnership for PowerBall Billiards

SCHAUMBURG, IL – June 2, 2005 - TLC Industries, Inc. and the American Poolplayers Association (APA) are pleased to announce the formation of a strategic partnership to launch PowerBall Billiards into thousands of pool halls and bars while expanding the reach and appeal of the APA. The game is now the official video pool game of the world’s largestpool league, with more than 250,000 APA members waiting to play the game in their thousands of locations nationwide.

“With the APA behind PowerBall Billiards we have taken video pool out of arcades and into pool halls – where it belongs! The era of Video Pool Tables has arrived,” says James Hills, Marketing Director for TLC Industries. “Other coin-op pool games have failed because they tried to be “arcade games” … PowerBall Billiards brings the experience of real pool into the coin-op video format.”

PowerBall Billiards is emerging as a top earner in locations nationwide, especially in pool halls and venues featuring pool tables. Additionally, the game is a natural platform for friendly competitions and benefits from the same unique cross demographic appeal as pool. Both men and women enjoy the game and it is fun and easy to play for all ages. With video pool it is never the same game twice.

“We are excited to introduce this revolutionary new game to our members and be part of its introduction to the general public. The game is fun to play and can serve as a great educational tool for those who want to improve their game,” said APA Public Relations Manager Jason Bowman.

TLC Industries and the APA will feature PowerBall Billiards at the APA’s annual National Team Championship event held Aug. 18-27 at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. Parties interested in learning more about the National Team Championship or the APA should contact: Jason Bowman, 636-625-8611 ext. 5640 or

About PowerBall Billiards (

PowerBall Billiards is about the fun, simplicity and excitement of real pool! Other video pool games have suffered because they relied too heavily on gimmicks such as “virtual cue sticks,” 3D graphics etc. PowerBall Billiards features PowerShot for natural and intuitive cue control, optional aiming-assist guides and other features allowing the game to be accessible to novices but exciting and challenging to experienced pool players. With a little practice anyone can become a competitor!
