Orlando’s C&M Darts Wins Free Unit Myrtle Beach, S.C., — Green Coin Machines Distributing, Myrtle Beach, S.C., met its company goal of selling 1,000 TouchTunes digital-downloading jukeboxes in 2005, and one of its customers came away a big winner, according to Green Coin’s sales vice president Ed Chermak.
Orlando, Fla.-based operator C & M Darts bought the milestone one-thousandth jukebox of the year and in the process won a free TouchTunes jukebox as part of Green Coin’s year-end sales promotion. “I told them I had some good news for them, that there’s a new jukebox on the way, and they’re not going to be charged for it,” Chermak said. “I’m happy for them because they’ve been fantastic customers.”  But he’d be hard pressed to sound happier than brothers Chip and Kenny Mahoney, founders and owners of C&M Darts. “I hadn’t won anything, ever,” said Chip Mahoney. “It was quite a surprise.” Mahoney said the jukebox purchase that triggered Green Coin’s give-away has been installed at Wings and Ale in Altamonte Springs, Fla. Green Coin “had a big run” of TouchTunes sales in December, Chermak reported. “We’ve got more operators who’ve tried the box. And because it’s so much easier to operate than the CD jukeboxes they’re familiar with, it’s become an easy decision to buy more.” He added, “The financing programs available have been a great assistance.” Launched in 1990, C &M Darts has evolved into a full-service amusement machine operator serving Florida’s Orange and Seminole counties, Mahoney said. He said C&M has been operating TouchTunes digital jukeboxes since shortly after the first models were introduced in 1998.
