2006 Grammy Awards and upcoming St. Patrick’s Day festivities. LAKE ZURICH, Ill., — TouchTunes Music Corporation has released some timely touch-screen features that operators of its 16,000 online digital jukeboxes can remotely download and install via the internet to capitalize on the 2006 Grammy Awards and upcoming St. Patrick’s Day festivities.The software generates special "album-cover" icons on the touch-screen monitor when patrons search alphabetically under “G” for Grammy Awards and “S” for Saint Patrick’s. The graphics provide patrons with touch-activated links to songs. In addition, TouchTunes is offering operators a St. Patrick’s Day background screen — a graphical “wallpaper” — reflecting the spirit of the holiday. The Grammy Award-winning songs are grouped on the album icon by four musical genres. Country artists include Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, Alison Krauss & Union Station, and Keith Urban. Pop artists include Kelly Clarkson, Gorillaz, and Chemical Brothers. In the R&B category are songs by Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, and Damian Marley. Rockers include System of a Down, Slipknot, U2, White Stripes, Green Day, and Maroon 5. TouchTunes’ Irish-music offerings include songs by The Chieftains, Bing Crosby, Pogues, Cruiskeen, Frank Parker, John Gary, Gallowglass Ceili Band, The Irish Rovers, The Dubliners, and Morton Downy.
