added two regional sales managers — well-known industry veterans — and increased the ranks of its inside sales support and technical hotline staffs.

Steve Murray has joined TouchTunes as a South Central regional sales manager, working the territory with Fred Cyrway. Prior to joining TouchTunes, Murray was western regional sales manager for pool table company Valley-Dynamo, a position he held for 10 years. Before that, he spent a total of nine years with the Tornado table soccer company. Born in Hawaii and raised in Kansas City, Mo., Murray entered the coin-op industry in 1982 as a Tornado factory employee.

“Valley is a wonderful company, and I cherish my years there,” Murray said. “But after doing due diligence, I accepted TouchTunes’ offer because I feel confident the company has a jump start on the future of our industry.”

In the Northeast, Dave Kelly has joined TouchTunes as a regional sales manager, working with fellow regional manager Pat Seitz. Most recently, Kelly was East Coast sales manager for Incredible Technologies. He held that position for five years, covering a territory from Maine to Florida and west to Ohio. Before that, he was a regional sales manager for Valley-Dynamo.

“Without a doubt, TouchTunes’ product is exciting, and that’s why I took the plunge,” said Kelly, a native New Englander who was born in Everett, Mass., and now lives in Goffstown, N.H. “I also appreciate the way the company is run, especially the inside sales support and customer service. I've never seen that level of backup support for a field sales team.”

“It’s a real testimony to TouchTunes’ that we've been able to attract sales professionals of this caliber,” said Dan McAllister, TouchTunes vice president of sales and marketing. “Both of our new regional sales managers have huge followings and great credibility in the operator community.”

Heading the department that Dave Kelly raved about is Nikki Hendricks, inside sales manager, who has announced the hiring of three new inside sales representatives: Margaret Center, who works with North Central regional manager Todd Martin; Michelle Ludy, working with regional managers Pat Seitz and Dave Kelly in the Northeast and Fred Cyrway and Steve Murray in the South Central states; and Dan Sarsfield, working with West Coast regional managers Evan Steiner and Matt Thielen.

New inside sales-support staffers are Alexis Munoz, promoted from receptionist; and Brittney Shelby, promoted from data-entry clerk.

“They're all fun, friendly, outgoing, energetic people who've made a long-term commitment to making a home at TouchTunes,” Hendricks says. “Nobody here is a clock-watcher. We’re all passionate about what we do.”

Hendricks says her staff, which recently grew by 50 percent, “forms a relationship with TouchTunes’ distributors and operators. If someone calls with a question or concern we can’t handle, we don’t just transfer them to another department. We'll call the other department for them and try to get things straightened out — while they're still on the phone. We’re the customers’ advocates.”

Also in the sales and marketing area, Michelle Santangelo was promoted from inside sales representative to marketing coordinator, reporting directly to sales and marketing chief McAllister.

Jeff Podlin has been promoted to tech support manager from assistant tech support manager. Podlin’s department has added six new members to the telephone hotline crew to assist operators and their technicians: Jon Blatz, Ramsin Israel, Tim Legowski, Jimmy Martin, Dave Martinez, and Tim Widmann.

“We look for people with knowledge of small computers, audio systems, and broadband data connectivity,” Podlin says. “In addition, these folks have excellent telephone communications skills.”

Jon Bird, Podlin’s predecessor as tech support manager, has become tech support manager, national accounts, a new position.

Michelle Krasinski, previously an inside sales support representative, has become a customer support representative in TouchTunes’ Pro Division, which provides custom, interactive digital music-on-demand systems for corporate enterprises. She reports to Ed Tuhkanen, the division’s national accounts manager.

Kristina Gutierrez has been promoted from receptionist to customer service representative in the finance department. Now, the first person that visitors and many callers encounter at TouchTunes is new receptionist Denise Aquilar.

In the operations area, Jeff Starks has been promoted to repair manager from PC technician. John Hodal has shifted positions: previously a repair technician team leader, he is now an IT specialist. Rachel Ashworth has signed on as a data entry clerk, and Chris Minasian as a refurb technician. Jacob Davis has joined the warehouse distribution staff as a receiving clerk.
