Incentives Include Free Digital Jukeboxes Plus Zero-Percent Financing "The best deal out there" - Paramount Vending LAKE ZURICH, Ill., - TouchTunes Music Corporation, the world leader in digital-downloading jukeboxes, with more than 20,000 units installed, has launched a fourth quarter sales promotion called "The Ultimate Jukebox Giveaway," offering buyers free jukeboxes based on quantity purchases, with financing as low as zero percent.Customers get one free TouchTunes jukebox when they buy three; three free jukeboxes when they buy seven; six free when they buy 12; and 13 free when they buy 19. A customer who buys one jukebox at list price can receive a 30 percent discount on a second one. With this program, the effective price of a full-featured TouchTunes jukebox, equipped for both broadband and dial-up connections, can be as low as $2,431.41. Paramount Vending of Pompano Beach, Fla., is buying 19. "It's the best deal out there," says Alan Persan, Paramount's general manager, "even though others are trying to compete." Paramount is in the process of upgrading a newly acquired route by replacing all the CD jukeboxes - and a handful of existing digital models - with TouchTunes products. "Other than that route, we're already 100 percent digital," Persan says. And, he adds, 100 percent TouchTunes. Paramount operates approximately 200 TouchTunes digital jukeboxes on routes reaching into most areas of Florida. "It makes sense to stay with the brand we know," Persan says. "The support we get from TouchTunes is tremendous. Any problems are resolved pretty quickly. And their regional sales rep, Chuck West, has been great from the beginning." How much better are his TouchTunes units than his old CD jukeboxes? "No comparison," Persan says. The "Ultimate" promotion continues through December 31 or until 4,000 units are sold. Included are all models of TouchTunes' floor-standing and wall-mounted jukeboxes, plus its CD-to-digital conversion kits for Rowe and NSM brand wallboxes. All TouchTunes jukeboxes and conversion kits come equipped for both broadband and dial-up connectivity. "Operators who've experienced the revenue power of digital music can't wait to get rid of those stagnant and declining CD jukeboxes," says Dan McAllister, vice president for sales and marketing. "With the pricing and financing available through this promotion, their change over to digital can happen sooner, with minimal impact on their working capital." Along with the "Ultimate Jukebox Giveaway," TouchTunes is sponsoring a 12-month, zero-percent financing plan as well as a 24-month 5.99 percent plan, both through Firestone Financial Corp. The financing offer applies only to new jukeboxes, not to conversion kits. "The promotional pricing for the jukeboxes is the same whether or not an operator finances the purchase," McAllister notes. "So there's every reason for operators to finance their jukebox purchases and use their cash on hand and lines of credit for other capital investments." To enable further cost savings for its operators, TouchTunes recently announced an industry-first deal with telecommunications giant AT&T to provide high-speed broadband service to its operators for $29.95 a month, wherever AT&T's broadband service is available. Another new deal is bringing Billboard charts to TouchTunes' interactive jukebox screens to help patrons find music and select songs faster, maximizing jukebox play. The industry trailblazer, TouchTunes introduced the first digital-downloading coin jukebox in 1998. Today, TouchTunes serves more than 1,800 jukebox operators, and its share of the commercial Internet jukebox market is greater than 70 percent. By providing its own jukebox hardware, operating software, and music services, TouchTunes offers single-source accountability to its customers. A U.S. corporation, TouchTunes' principal offices are in Lake Zurich, Ill., and Montreal, Canada.
