New Web-Based Feature Lets ‘Designated Drivers’ Help Manage Jukebox Routes Online Via Controlled Access LAKE ZURICH, Ill., TouchTunes Music“Now, operators can delegate jukebox management tasks to selected employees, or designated drivers, giving them a controlled access ramp to functional areas of the Dashboard,” said Dan McAllister, TouchTunes senior vice president for sales and marketing. “Operators can empower employees to help drive jukebox revenues,” he said. Operators can set up online access for co-workers, with one or more “roles” for each Web user. The operator simply sets up sub-user accounts and determines the roles, or access parameters for each employee. In addition to the top-level account administrator role, available roles include: • Music Manager. This role allows the employee to view the music content of individual jukeboxes, order and delete songs from jukeboxes, and handle other music management functions. • Money Manager. This role gives the employee access to invoices from TouchTunes, song play and revenue reports, and other financial data. • Settings Manager. Employees granted access to this area of the Dashboard can edit time-of-day settings for individual jukeboxes, including settings for music filters, Tune Central availability, light shows, background music mode, and other features, based on what works best for each location. Another new Dashboard feature, designed to help operators keep abreast of new music and song popularity, is access to the 13 most popular Billboard charts, updated weekly. Dashboard users select a chart from a drop-down list, view the contents of the chart, and click to enter a check mark beside each hit song they want to download to a jukebox hard drive. TouchTunes is the first and only digital jukebox company with rights to display any Billboard charts. “The Dashboard updates are all about helping our operators be more productive and more responsive to the needs of their locations and patrons,” McAllister said. “In addition to being the most popular jukebox brand with patrons — who have played well over one billion songs —TouchTunes jukeboxes are also the most operator friendly.” The industry trailblazer, TouchTunes introduced the world’s first digital-downloading commercial jukebox in 1998. Today, TouchTunes has an installed base of more than 20,000 online jukeboxes — by far the most in the industry — and more than 90 percent of them are broadband enabled. The company estimates its share of the digital jukebox market is greater than 70 percent. For TouchTunes product and sales information, call (888) 338-5853 toll free or e-mail sanmi@touchtunes.com.
