TouchTunes Music Corporation

TOUCHTUNES APPOINTS ART MATIN AS PRESIDENT AND CEO

Former IBM Global Exec to Accelerate Global Growth
at Digital Jukebox Pioneer

MONTREAL, — Art Matin (pronounced MAT’-in), a former global business manager for IBM Corporation and senior executive of several technology companies, has joined digital-jukebox leader TouchTunes Music Corporation as president and chief executive officer. Matin was also named to TouchTunes’ board of directors. Matin succeeds John Perrachon, who remains an active member of TouchTunes’ board and a major stockholder, according to William Meder, TouchTunes chairman.

In announcing the leadership transition, Meder noted, “During John Perrachon’s tenure, TouchTunes achieved significant success in its core business of supplying digital-downloading jukeboxes and music services to North America’s coin-machine operators and distributors. In 2003, we had an installed base of 7,300 jukeboxes. At the end of 2006, we had 23,000. And we surpassed the milestone of having our jukeboxes download and play a billion songs, a feat still unmatched by any of our competitors. Thanks to John and his team, TouchTunes is in an enviable position.”

Matin, TouchTunes’ new president and CEO, says, “I’ve inherited an outstanding team of coin-op and music industry professionals, all of them passionate about innovation and customer satisfaction. They’ll be the foundation for our next stage of growth and a new era of revenue opportunities for TouchTunes and its partners. I look forward to working with our operators and distributors in building on the momentum TouchTunes has established and capitalizing on the tremendous opportunity we share in the market.”

Matin brings more than two decades of wide-ranging business experience to TouchTunes, with an emphasis on customer-focused sales, marketing, and product development. Prior to joining TouchTunes, Matin was chief executive of Softricity, a venture-backed software company acquired by Microsoft Corp. in 2006. He was executive vice president of worldwide sales for Veritas, a data and storage management company with annual revenues of more than $2 billion and more than 5,000 employees. As president of McAfee, best known for its anti-virus software, he accounted for revenues of $750 million annually and successfully established multiple channel initiatives and partnerships focused on accelerating customer adoption and market share expansion, especially in consumer segments.

During his 20 years with IBM, Matin held a variety of management positions, including overseeing sales to large corporate customers in the Asia-Pacific region while based in Tokyo, as well serving as general manager of IBM’s industrial sector in the Americas.

A native of Albany, N.Y., Matin received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Rochester (1978) and an MBA degree from the University of Chicago (1980).

TouchTunes Music Corporation introduced the world’s first digital-downloading, coin-operated commercial jukebox in 1998. Today, TouchTunes’ online network of 23,000 pay-per-play Internet jukeboxes in bars, restaurants, and other establishments throughout North America is the industry’s largest, representing a market share of more than 60 percent. TouchTunes recently unveiled industry-first technology that allows the public to set up Web-based, interactive personal playlists for jukebox use.

A privately held U.S. corporation, TouchTunes’ principal offices are in Montreal, Canada, and Lake Zurich, Ill., a Chicago suburb. The company is backed by VantagePoint Venture Partners, one of the largest venture capital firms in the world with offices in Silicon Valley, New York, and Montreal. VantagePoint has over $4 billion in capital under management, including a substantial portfolio of consumer-oriented digital-media companies that complement TouchTunes’ growing leadership in out-of-home, interactive entertainment.
