Largest Digital On-Location Entertainment Network Moves to Enhance User Experience and Boost Operator Revenues NEW YORK, N.Y., — TouchTunes Music Corporation, creator of the largest digital on-location music and entertainment network, has announced the development of connectivity software that will allow all brands of countertop games to network with TouchTunes’ digital jukeboxes running the new Gen 3 operating system. The new Connec-TT (pronounced connect-tee-tee) interface “will allow operators to install the exact entertainment equipment their bars, restaurants, and other locations need, with the confidence that everything will work together seamlessly,” said Dan McAllister, TouchTunes senior vice president for sales. “By putting the best music and entertainment options within arm’s reach of the patrons, through an advanced TouchTunes digital jukebox networked with a winning system of countertop games, operators will enhance the experience of end users, build a loyal clientele for their locations, and boost their own bottom line,” he said. The Connec-TT interface will also subsequently support countertop-game connectivity with digital jukeboxes running TouchTunes’ Gen 2 operating system. TouchTunes introduced the first digital jukebox-to-countertop game interface years ago when it began offering connectivity with Merit’s products. In July, TouchTunes will publish preliminary technical specifications for the Connec-TT interface, for use by game manufacturers who want their entertainment platforms to be compatible with TouchTunes’. The new networking capabilities will be demonstrated at the September AMOA show. “We at JVL are committed to the industry,” says Peter Guterres, CEO of JVL. “The new Connec-TT API will give our engineers helpful tools to extend the reach of JVL games and connect our patrons to TouchTunes jukeboxes, a requirement we’ve heard often in the marketplace. We are confident that with our team working with TouchTunes, delivery of these new features will be right on schedule.” When networked to a TouchTunes Gen 3-equipped digital jukebox via the Connec-TT interface, a game system can:
“Manufacturers who implement Connec-TT specifications will make their products compatible with the largest and fastest-growing interactive digital entertainment network, now in 26,000 locations,” said Dominique Dion, TouchTunes’ vice president for research and development.
