Triotech Amusement Expands R&D, Launches Animation Studio

The HD Stereoscopic version will be launched in the summer.

Montreal, QC, - Triotech Amusement is pleased to announce the launch of a digital animation studio to create new 2D and 3D ride films, and games. Triotech’s Research & Development team is expanding to respond to the growing demand of quality gaming and exciting ride films.

“We are extremely excited to be producing our own ride films and games,” expresses Ernest Yale, CTO and Co-Founder. “We’ve put together an incredible team of professionals and their talents will be essential in creating out-of-this-world ride films and games.”

Triotech recently hired Jean Aubert as Director of Production. With over 20 years of experience in 3D development, Jean is a Canadian pioneer in the computer animation field. Having won several Canadian awards for television and cinema, Jean was also nominated for an Emmy for the Discovery Channel’s “Extreme Engineering” series he produced at Meteor Studios. Recently, he was head of the cinematic studio at Ubisoft in Montreal and worked on the cinematic of games such as Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six.

“Triotech has an incredible team and I’m very excited to work with these extremely talented individuals,” shares Jean. “I look forward to taking part in all the innovative projects that Triotech is planning.”

“Jean has a vast background in managing multimedia and 3D animation projects and will be an excellent complement to the team,” states Ernest. “We’re working on bringing new experiences to the public by combining state-of-the-art graphics and motion systems as well as new immersive technologies and Jean and the team will make it all happen!”

With 12 talented and experienced animators and 3D graphic designers, the Triotech studio is currently developing a next generation arcade game and stereoscopic HD films for the XD Theater, the Motion Theater and other motion-based attractions Triotech will launch in the future.

The first ride film produced in-house will be released and officially launched in the spring along with a new motion attraction. The HD Stereoscopic version will be launched in the summer.
