Vendors Exchange International, Inc.
Industry Icon Leaves Current Post at Vendors Exchange
|
Toohey has gained and shared knowledge on virtually every aspect of the industry
CLEVELAND, OH – For over 20 years, Ken Toohey has been a cornerstone of the Vendors Exchange family. After
a career dedicated to the vending industry, Toohey has decided to leave Vendors Exchange, returning occasionally
as a service consultant.
Some of Toohey’s early days were spent in Akron at Martin’s Services in the Maintenance Department, where he
gained knowledge of the industry inside and out. In 1977, he moved to Cardinal Systems, where he filled the role of
Maintenance Department Supervisor. Following nearly eight years at Cardinal Systems, Vendors Exchange was
lucky enough to acquire Toohey in March of 1985. Since that time, he has served as Service Technician and
Technical Service Manager, and has shared his in-depth industry knowledge and expertise with coworkers and
customers alike.
When asking colleagues about his area of specialization, they are likely to respond, “everything.” Over the years,
Toohey has gained and shared knowledge on virtually every aspect of the industry, and will continue to provide this
expertise in the capacity of part-time consultant for Vendors Exchange.
Toohey will now be able to spend more time with his wife, Penny, formerly of Vendors Exchange. He has three
children, Michelle and Michael, also in the Cleveland area, and Mark, who currently resides in Alabama.
Vendors Exchange International, Inc. has been serving the vending industry since 1960. The company provides
quality new, reconditioned, checked and working, and as-is can soda, snack, food and coffee machines; VE
branded and OEM replacement parts; and a newly expanded electronics repair service, offering pick-up and
delivery within a limited service area. For additional information, contact Christine Papesch by phone
