New Features Released for Zip Cashless Payment Systems

The Zip Cashless Payment System allows the operator to be free from service calls resulting from jammed bills or coins,

CLEVELAND, OH – Zip has just added two new features to its cashless payment system: An Auto-Free and Token/Coupon Key.

The new Auto-Free Key is given to the location when the client wants the machine on free vend for parties or a special event. You can insert the special key into each machine and the machine is available for free vend. When the event is over, you simply re-insert the key and the machine returns to cash vending. The Auto Free Key eliminates the need for the vending servicer to visit the location twice to make manual changes to the settings.

The Token/Coupon Key was designed to allow the vending location to give each employee a limited number of free vends in selected machines without having to deliver tokens or coupons. The special key is inserted into the selected machines and the employee can then insert their key allowing tokens to be electronically added to their key.

Zip, available through Vendors Exchange International, is a cashless payment system whereby a customer uses a key fob in place of cash, tokens or coupons to purchase vended items. Aside from eliminating the need to carry cash, the Zip system also allows users and operators to add a dollar value or specific number of vends to the key fob. In addition, the key is also programmable to have free-vend value limits for specific machines, giving operators the flexibility of offering a free coffee or free snack vend to users.

Zip keys have the ability to be revalued in any of the machines by using a special operator revalue key or through a re-charge station. The re-charge station adds funds to Zip keys using cash or credit card which allows for centralized cash collection. The credit card revalue station also has the feature of accepting up to $20 bills.

The Zip Cashless Payment System allows the operator to be free from service calls resulting from jammed bills or coins, as well as saving time and effort that is eliminated by not having to sort and count cash from each machine. Zip software is DEX compatible. It can keep track of the dollar values going into the machine, and permits operators to obtain detailed statistics on machine use.
