Warner Bros. Consumer Products Wows Metropolis With
the Man of Steel for 2006 American International Toy Fair
Burbank, Calif., - At the 2006 American
International Toy Fair,
set to take place in New York from February
12-15, Warner Bros. Consumer Products will unleash an incredible new
lineup of licensed toys and products inspired by DC Comics' Superman
franchise.
The World's Greatest Super Hero is back and better than ever.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products and its partners will fly into this
year's show with a licensing program that captures Superman in all his
forms, including new lines of toys and electronics inspired by this
summer's upcoming theatrical release from Warner Bros. Pictures,
Superman Returns, as well as the core Superman property, from DC
Comics. Product lines will reflect the essence of the film and will
incorporate the classic S-Shield, a universally recognized iconic
symbol that has continually withstood the test of time.
Mattel, Inc. is the global master toy partner for the property.
Other key licensees include: Kids Station, Rubies Costumes, Oregon
Scientific, Monogram International, Wham-O, Funrise Toy Corp., V-Tech
Electronics, Jakks Pacific, Rose Art, Kids Only, Basic Fun, Kurt
Adler, among others. Their impressive new product lineups will
captivate audiences and help bring this world-renowned franchise to
life.

be exemplified to the fullest with a collection of products that are
truly representative of the Superman brand."
As the global master toy partner for Superman, Mattel has
developed the most comprehensive toy program ever created for the
franchise, including action figures, accessories, outdoor toys, flying
toys, role-play items and collector dolls. Reaching beyond the
traditional action figure aisle, this product line offers truly unique
and exciting ways to relive key moments of the Superman Returns film.
Also leading the charge will be Kid Station, a top manufacturer of
youth and consumer electronics. Kids Station will offer retailers a
broad range of electronic products including TVs, DVD players, MP3
players, CD boom boxes, personal CD players, portable DVD players,
phones and two-way communication devices. Kids Station is creating two
separate lines of product: one featuring Superman for boys and one
featuring Supergirl for girls. The artwork on the products will be
focused on the iconic S-Shield.
In addition to Superman, Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP)
will leap into Toy Fair 2006 with such well-known properties as Harry
Potter, Scooby-Doo, The O.C, Firehouse Tales, Happy Feet, Xiaolin
Showdown, DC Comics' properties Justice League, Teen Titans, Krypto
the Superdog, Batman and more. At this year's show, WBCP's much-loved
brands will be showcased by some of the most high profile licensees in
the world, including Mattel, Fisher-Price, LEGO, Techno Source, Jakks
Pacific, Bandai, Hasbro, among many others.

In Superman Returns, following a mysterious absence of several
years, the Man of Steel comes back to Earth in this epic
action-adventure, a soaring new chapter in the saga of one of the
world's most beloved superheroes. While an old enemy plots to render
him powerless once and for all, Superman (Brandon Routh) faces the
heartbreaking realization that the woman he loves, Lois Lane (Kate
Bosworth), has moved on with her life. Or has she? Superman's
bittersweet return challenges him to bridge the distance between them
